The Romatic Courship and Happy Life of a Lyons Couple
Mr. and Mrs. Augustus K. Gabriel of Lyons, celebrated their golden wedding surrounded by their entire family, consisting of eight children, 14 grand-children and three great-grandchildren.
In the four generations there has not been a death. The husband is 76 years old and the wife is 75. They have resided her 40 years. Both were born in Germany. They left their native land aboard the same vessel unknown to each other. The vessel, driven from its course by storms, was wreaked on a desert island, and before they wre rescued these two had become acquainted and attached to each other, and on reaching America were united in marriage.
