In the name of God, Amen, I William Whitteker Sparks of the city of Lyons, County of Clinton and State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory, praised be God for the same, and being disirous of settling my worldly affairs while I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament, that is to say:
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Ruby Adaline Sparks, Lot No. Eleven (11) in Block No. Thirty One (31) in "Old Town Lyons City" County of Clinton and State of Iowa, with dwelling house and household furniture there unto belonging, together with all other real estate or personality belonging to me for and during my natural life: to hold, sell or use according to her own discretion for her own support and as the guardian for the support and education of my five children to wit, Frances Whitteker Sparks, Henry Wilbur Sparks, George Suevetas? Sparks, Mary Ida Sparks and Harry Albertus? Sparks: And after the decease of my said wife or in the event and at the time of her second marriage, I hereby give and bequeath all that may remain of the above described property to my five said Children to be divided equally among them.
I also hereby appoint my wife Ruby Adaline Sparks Exucutrix, and her Brother Rev. James T. Chafee of the City of Minneapolis? and State of Minnesota, Executor of this my last will and testament.
In Witness where of, I hereunto set my hand and seal at Lyons, aforesaid, this twelfth day of April Eighteen hundred and Sixty Six
Signed and sealed by said William Witteker Sparks and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other and at his request have ??? our names as witnesses
