Ferd Witt's Note 35th Anniversary

Fifty-five friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Witt Sunday, June 7 to observe their 35th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Witt and Adeline Irene Dammann were married June 8, 1929 in Davenport by the late Rev. Leroy Coffman of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. and Mrs. Will Witt of Davenport were their attendants.
They farmed northeast of DeWitt for 32 years before moving to DeWitt several years ago. The Witt's are the parents of four sons and two daughters. They include Henry, who lives on the home place; Wesley of Charlotte; Edward of Eldridge; Alfred of Welton; Mrs. Norman (Gladys) Rohwedder of Sunbury and Mrs. Fred (June) Nordan of Chicago. They also have 15 grandchildren. All were present for the occasion.
Other guests were from Muscatine, Davenport, Eldridge, Mount Joy, Long Grove and DeWitt.
A large wedding cake served as table centerpiece. Refreshements were served by the daughters and daughters-in-law of the couple.
Birthdays of Mrs. June Nordan and granddaughter, Michelle Nordan were observed. Kenneth Rohwedder of Sunbury remained at the home of his grandparents for ten days.
