Kevin and Nina Hoffman of Charlotte are the parents of a son, Jared Joseph, born April 1 at Samaritan North in Clinton. He weighed 7 pounds, 13 1/2 ounces and measured 21 inches long.
Jared is welcomed by a brother, Kyle, 1.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eberhart of Charlotte and Mr. and Mrs. Verdis Hoffman of Bellevue.
Great-grandmother is Marcella Hammond of Clinton.
