Ovanda Jane Braun, 3384 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport, daughter of Richard and Elaine Braun, Burlington, Iowa, is engaged to Patrick James O'Meara, 2510 E. 50th St., Davenport, son of Gerald and Rose Eberhart O'Meara, Schaller, Iowa. Grandson of the late Albert and Rose Eberhart, Charlotte, Iowa.
Miss Braun graduated from Burlington High School and Iowa State University, Ames with a bachelor's degree in early childhood special education. She is a primary mental disabilities teacher at North Scott School District, Long Grove, Iowa.

Her fiance graduated from Schaller High School and Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, Iowa with a bachelor's degree in finance, banking and economics. He is a loan review and audit officer at Northwest Bank and Trust Company, Davenport.
A July 13 wedding is planned.
