The Clinton Herald Tuesday April 2, 1996 p. 5 Karl and Elke O. Ehlers of Camanche will celebrate their 40th anniversary Sunday with a private family dinner. The event will be hosted by their family. The former Elke Dinstel and Ehlers were married April 7, 1956, in Clinton. They are the parents of six children; Mrs. Karen (Greg) Smith of Spartenburg, S.C.; Karl Ehlers of Urbandale, Iowa; Eric Ehlers of Kinberly, Wis.; Dirk Ehlers of Chicago, Ill.; and Andrea Ehlers of Ames. They have nine grandchildren.
