The Clinton Herald Wednesday February 21, 1996 p. 7 Carrie Buckman of Clinton Retirement Village, 801 25th Ave. N., will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Gardner Hall in Camanche. Relatives and friends are invited. She was born Feb. 24, 1896, in Clinton, to E.R. and Elizabeth Greene Judd. She married Charles "J.C." Buckman, Feb. 20, 1913, in Clinton. She is the mother of nine children; Harold Buckman of Melrose Park, Ill.; Church Buckman of Burlington; Levi Buckman of Clinton; Hazel Thompson and Vera Ott, both of Camanche; Agnes Marr of Lake View, Ark.; and Royce, Earl and Liz, who are deceased. She has 24 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren, and 32 great-great-grandchildren. She is a former member of the Clinton Moose. She enjoys playing cards and bingo and visits from family and friends.
