The Clinton Herald Tuesday March 12, 1996 p. 7 Betty Droste of 1640 Eighth Ave. S., will celebrate her 89th birthday. A family dinner is being planned for a later date. She was born March 19, 1916, in Charlotte. She married Werner Droste in 1934. He died in 1992. She is the mother of four children; Shirley Miller and Del Droste, both of Tempe, Ariz.; Richard Droste of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and Charles Droste of Clinton. She has 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
