The Clinton Herald Tuesday January 23, 1996 p. 7 Evelyn Rowan of 613 12th Ave. S., Clinton, will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28 in St. Boniface Hall, 2520 Pershing Blvd. Relatives and friends are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted, but cards and personal greetings are welcome. She was born Jan. 29, 1916, on the family farm in Charlotte, to Lillie and Joseph Dunn. She married Joseph Rowan Aug. 26, 1936 in Clinton. He died May 3, 1981. She is the mother of four children: Mrs. R.R. (Jean) Kelley of Clinton; Jim Rowan of Federal Way, Wash.; Mrs. Ron (Jeri) Malli of Davenport; and Mrs. Harry (Jill) Housenga of Camanche. She has eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. She was employed for 20 years at the Fashion Shoppe, retiring in 1988. She enjoys playing cards, dancing and traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas.
