The Clinton Herald Monday July 9, 2001 p. 6A Elsie Bott of Clinton will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the DuPont Pavilion on U.S. 67. Relatives and friends are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted. She was born on July 14, 1901, near Teeds Grove. She married Peter Bott on Nov. 21, 1923, in Clinton. He died on Oct. 9, 1989. She is the mother of one child, Arlene McElroy of Camanche. She has four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was employed farming with her husband north of Clinton until retiring in 1870 after many years.
