The Clinton Herald Friday June 1, 2001 p. 8A Margaret Wagemester of Bryant will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10 at the Goose Lake Tap in Goose Lake. Relatives and friends are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted. She was born Margaret Naeve on June 6, 1921, near Bryant. She married Sylvester Determan on Oct. 19, 1940. He died in 1968. She married John Wagemester on Aug. 31, 1979. He died in 1981. She is the mother of four children, Mary Rife of Davenport, Carol Ehlers of Davenport, James Determan of Burnsville, Minn., and Denise Schroeder of Bryant; and fvie stepchildren, Theresa Schaefer of Clinton, Eleanor Gerlach of Preston, Kathleen Eggers of Clinton, Eileen Kurt who is deceased and John Wagemester Jr. who is deceased. She has six grandchildren, 22 stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 40 step-great-grandchildren and to step-great-great-grandchildren. She farmed and has been a homemaker in Clinton County all her life.
