The Clinton Herald Friday February 15, 2002 p. 10A Harold J. Clausen of Goose Lake is celebrating his 95th birthday. Cards may be sent to him at Box 44, Goose Lake 52750. He was born on Feb. 23, 1907, near Reeseville north of Miles. He married Effie Jones in 1933. He is the father of six children, Fern Ackermann of Bellevue, Patsey Farrell of Goose Lake, Richard of Bryant, Peggy Stevens of Bernard, Judy Soenksen of Princeton, Iowa, and Charlotte Pefferman of Goose Lake. He has 25 grandchildren, 38 great -grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He completed the ninth grade and was employed as a painter, a farmhand and a farmer in Clinton County until moving to Goose Lake in 1960. He is Goose Lake's oldest resident.
