An open house will be from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 30 in St. Joseph Catholic Church hall, 250 S. Faith St., Preston. Relatives and friends are invited. It is requested gifts be omitted. She was born Aug. 30, 1918. She married Alvie Holdgrafer, Nov. 4, 1937. She is the mother of nine children: Jerry, Larry, Charles, Tom and Glenn Holdgrafer, all of Spragueville; Donny Holdgrafer of Springbrook; Marilyn Hamilton and Bob Holdgrafer, both of Maquoketa, and Joyce Stone of Preston. She has 22 grandchildren, two step grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
