The Clinton Herald Monday September 4, 1899 p. 12 At St. Irenaeus church at 6:30 o'clock this morning, Rev. Father Murray pronounced the words that united the lives of Miss Mamie Jordan of this city, and Mr. Philip E. Duffy of Chicago. The bride was attended by Miss Mayme McGrath, while J.J. Murphy acted as best man. After the wedding ceremony at the church the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Jordan, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served. The bride is one of Lyons' most estimable young ladies, being a graduate of Our Lady of Angels seminary, class of '90, while the groom holds a responsible position with the Pullman Palace Car Co., in Chicago. The happy couple were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents. Mr. and Mrs. Duffy left on the 9:40 train for Chicago, where they will be at home after September 15, at 867 East Seventy-third street. The best wishes of a host of friends go with them to their new home.
