The Clinton Herald Tuesday September 16, 1947 At a beautifully appointed autumnal wedding this morning in St. Boniface Catholic church Miss Elizabeth Jane Rosenberger, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo N. Rosenberger 752 Fourth avenue, South, became the bride of Robert Eugene Cavanaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon J. Cavanaugh, 102 North Sixth street. The Rev. J.J. Schoenfelder, cousin of the bride, officiated at the ceremony and nuptial mass at nine o'clock in the presence of relatives and friends of the young couple. Billy Holdgrafer was the soloist and Mrs. Carl C. Muschall was the organist. Acolytes were Gene and Nathaniel Walton, cousins of the bride. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in luminous white satin, exquisitely fashioned with taper-slim bodice and a voluminous sweep of skirt and train. Her court length veil of illusiion fell from a cluster of satin flowers and she carried stephanotis centered with a white orchid. Her maid of honor, Miss Patricia Cavanaugh, sister of the bridegroom, wore a floor length gown of yellow moire silk. Leo C. Rosenberger, brother of the bride, was best man and ushers were Vernon and Robert Rosenberger, brothers of the bride, David Cavanaugh, brother of the bridegroom, and Richard Triplett. A wedding breakfast for the bridal party and relatives was held in the Clinton Country club, with a reception following this afternoon in the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Father Schoenfelder of Harper and Mr. and Mrs. William McCormick of Davenport were among the out of the city wedding guests. Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh will spend their honeymoon in Wisconsin and after Oct. 15 will be at home at 516 1/2 Third avenue, South.
