The Clinton Herald June 23, 1906 p. 5 Eugene Curtis, who returns this evening from his college work at Yale has achieved an enviable record in his chosen studies. He was one of fifty to enter the contest for staff work on the Yale college paper. The fifty gradually dropped down to ten eligibles, out of whom but three could be elected. Of course the Clinton boy was one of the three to win honors. Tuesday evening, Eugene and Lewis Curtis will leave for California, for a business trip to the fruit lands controlled by their father, Hon. George M. Curtis.
