The DeWitt Observer Thursday August 12, 1976 p. 6 St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt was the setting for the Saturday, August 7 marriage of Susan Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Anderson of DeWitt, to John Troy, son of Mrs. William Troy of DeWitt and the late Mr. Troy. Rev. Robert Striegel officiated at the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony. For her wedding the bride chose a floor length gown of white organza. A headpiece of Venise lace and pearls held her chapel length veil of illusion. She carried an arrangement of white gladoli, yellow sweetheart roses and grape ivy with a Belgian lace handerchief given to her by her father. Matron of honor was Molly Sheridan. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Anderson, sister of the bride Laurel Kedley and Phylis Zzurell. Groomsmen were Bill Troy, brother of the bridegroom, Brad Anderson, brother of the bride, Jim McGarry and Leo Garrity. Ushers were Jim Powers and Joe Kearney. The reception followed at the Moose Club, DeWitt. The couple left later on a trip to the east coast. The new home will be in Bettendorf. The bride is employed with Bettendorf Bank and the bridegroom with Hartford Company.
