Hans Iverson was born about January 2, 1848 in Norway. He emigrated with his brother and possibly other siblings to the US sometime before 1870. In 1870 he was rooming with neils in Lyons, Iowa ccording to the census data. he met and married Cecilia Lorenzen in Clinton Iowa. They had five children Walter, Martin, Belina, Minnie and Arthur. He owned a saloon in Grand mound, Iowa for a time around 1884. The family then moved back to Clinton where he died from kidney disease May 5, 1887. he was 39 years and 4 months old at the time. Hans and Cecilia are buried at Springdale cemetery in Clinton, Iowa.
