A correction of information posted 18 Feb 2003 in reference to:
1911 Biographical Index to Wolfe's History of Clinton County Iowa, by P.B. Wolfe
"Claus Kruse"
Claus Kruse is the son of Paul Kruse and Margaret Stoltenberg NOT Margaret Shombarger as written in article posted. Margaret Stoltenberg was the daughter of Hinrich Stoltenberg b- abt. 1768 and Antje Giese b- abt. 1772 per 1835 and 1840 census. Claus Kruse arrived in America 27 June 1854 with his parents Paul and Margaret (Stoltenberg) Kruse and their children Anna, Peter and Margareta also grandmother Antje (Giese) Stoltenberg (widow). Hinrich Stoltenberg died in Germany some time between 1835 and 1840 census.Source:
