The New Driver
Fire Chief Ed Burke yesterday afternoon appointed William Harrison as driver at the Central Station, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of James Woolheater. Mr. Harrison is a young man who has had some ten or twelve year’s experience in handling horses, and is considered one of the most careful and competent drivers in the city; he is also a practical blacksmith and horse-shoer, and a more competent man perhaps could have not been appointed to fill the position . Mr. Harrison is 24 years of age stands about 5 foot 10 inches and weighs 170 pounds.
