EIGHTY-SEVEN

A Wonderful Old Age-An Honored Lady

A quiet yet memorable birthday party occurred in Ringwood Tuesday, which marked the end of the eighty-seventh year of the life of Mrs. Jane Smith, mother of Mrs. George Allen, and grandmother of Charley Baller, eighty-seven years. How many of us today will see that event in our lives. Over forty-five years ago Mrs. Smith came to this country and what wonderful changes she has seen taken place, and see today, for she is in happy possession of all her faculties, attends to her usual duties, and enjoys life with the zest of the young may the years roll to a hundred she will be permitted to remain with us, and teach other generations how to live, and how to be happy.
