Scott Huffman Drowned Near
Albany Yesterday Morning

Scott Huffman, a boy eleven years old who resides at 603 Tenth Avenue went through an air hole while skating near Albany, Ill., yesterday morning and was drowned before assistance could reach him.

Frank Cross, who resides at 611 Eleventh Avenue, was with Scott at the time of the accident and went through the air hole at the same time with his companion, but succeeded in keeping his head above water by clinging to the ice until rescued by parties near at hand.

Although a diligent search was made for the body yesterday it was not recovered, the ice preventing the searchers from making but very little headway.
