MORNING WEDDING
Treman & McMahon
~
Fully three hundred invited guests assembled at Grace Church, Lyons, Tuesday, to witness the nuptials of Mr. E. S. Treman, of this city, and Miss Eugenia McMahon, daughter of Oliver McMahon, Esq., of Lyons.

The church was handsomely decorated with evergreen and cut flowers for the occasion, and presented a truly beautiful appearance.

The gentlemen who officiated as ushers were Messrs. C. C. Coan, of Clinton, P. J. Partenhethier of Eau Claire, Robert Treman, of Ithaca, N. Y. , and Will Joyce of Lyons.

As it neared the hour of the ceremony the pews were enclosed with bands of white satin ribbon. At 10:30 Mrs. D. E. Taft played Mendelsohn’s wedding march on the organ, and the groom, Mr. E. M. Treman preceded Rev. W. C. Currie, the officiating clergyman, and attended by E. C. A. Flournoy, Esq., entered from the vestry. The bride, Miss Eugenia McMahon, attired in a handsome travelling suit of soft drab material, with hat to match, appeared, supported by her father, at the front door and was preceded by the ushers to the chancel rail where she met the groom. The beautiful Episcopal ring ceremony was used on this occasion, and the bride was given away by her father. At the conclusion of the ceremony the wedding party retired, followed to the door by the ushers. The ribbons were then withdrawn permitting the immediate friends and relatives of the bride and groom to withdraw first and others afterwards.

At the conclusion of the ceremony at Grace Church, the relatives and more intimate friends to the number of thirty or forty repaired to the residence of Mr. McMahon where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served. A large collection of rich and beautiful wedding presents were viewed at the residence by the guests. Guest were present from Chicago, Cedar Rapids, Eau Claire, New York, Sabula and elsewhere.

Mr. and Mrs. Treman left on the noon train for an extended wedding tour through the east and south and at its conclusion will settle down in Ithaca, N. Y. their future home.

The bride Miss Eugenia McMahon is one of Lyons most beautiful and accomplished young ladies, whose presence in the society of the two cities will be sadly missed.

Mr. E. M. Treman, the groom, through his residence of five or six years in this city, won the esteem of everybody, and was urged to accept the nomination for Mayor of Clinton. During his stay in this city he has built up a splendid business whose interests, we are pleased to state, will retain.

Everybody in the two cities wishes only the best fortune for the newly wedded pair.
