The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, January 28, 1881

Sherriff Purcell took Lewis Lightenberg, an insane man, to the Insane Asylum at Independence, last Tuesday. He was found wandering to and fro, last week, in a demented condition, and taken in charge by the proper authorities. Though, not as yet, dangerous, it was deemed best to place him under treatment, for a cure.
