The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, January 31, 1879

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Piper having been married just twenty years last Saturday. A party of friends laden with gifts of china ware, surprised the couple and reminded them of the fact. The “wedding present” consisted of a complete china tea set of forty-four pieces. An elegant supper was served and a general good time enjoyed.
