The Clinton Daily Age, April 28, 1871

Philosophy of Housekeeping. A Scientific and Practical manuel of the comparative value of all kinds of foods, its preparation for the table, &c., by Joseph P. Lyman Agricultural director of N. Y. Tribune and Laura E. Lyman, Hartford, Conn., S. M. Betts & Co., 1869.

Mr. Ashebel C. Ferreby is now engaged in canvassing the city for this valuable book. Mr. F. is almost entirely blind. He has been an inmate of the asylum at Vinton, for some years, and having learned the trade of broom making he is trying to earn sufficient money to establish himself in that business in this place. Our citizens will do a good act as well as benefit themselves by purchasing this book.
