Bad Wreck at Clinton

Clinton, March 4. – Northwester passenger train No. 16 and a freight collided here this morning in the yards, coming together head on. Engineer Thomas Keefe of Clinton and Firemen P.P. Mott of Boone were seriously injured. Both engines were severely damaged and several cars derailed. The main line was blocked for three hours. The accident was caused by a misplaced switch.
