BALlS CARR, farmer, Sec. 36; P.O. De Witt; born in Ohio in 1818; he removed to Indiana in 1840; came to De Witt about 1857; he purchased a farm in Orange Township, where he lived two years; sold out and rented a farm near Grand Mound for one year; he bought the farm which he now owns in 1861. He married Miss Marsula Jones, a native of Ohio; they have four sons and three daughters; have lost one daughter.
