Born in 1941, Clinton, Iowa. Only sone of Earl and Mildred Greene, 439 4th Avenue South. Graduate of Clinton High School 1959.

I graduated from Wartburg College in 1963. I have been a college professor for most of my career which began after receiving a Masters degree in psychology in 1967 and a Ph.D. in sociology in 1971. I was drafted in April 1967, during Viet Nam conflict. I spent my service period teaching neuropsychiatry at Fort Sam Houston, Tx. I have been a college professor at these universities: Trinity University of Texas, Yale University Medical School, New Haven Connecticut, Univ of Minnesota, Twin Cities, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL.

I am currently a professor at The University of Iowa, College of Public Health. This new college at UI was founded in 1999 and is the first new college since 1949.

My professional Awards include: induction into the COSMOS Club of Washington DC for contributions to original knowledge, 2000; Distinguished Alumnus Wartburg College, 1975; Professor of the Year, 1985, 1986, MBA Program, Waring College of Business, University of Florida. I am married to Linda Gibson, two daughters Ingrid and Stephanie Greene of Jacksonville, FL. Two stepdaughters, Sara Jane, Weinstein (Beacon Falls, Conn.) and Lyn Curtis, (Atlanta Georgia).
