"The History of Clinton County Iowa" by L.P.Allen (1879) FREDRICK LINDMEIER (John) farmer, Sec. 23: PO Lyons; he was born July 20, 1827, in Germany in 1857, came to Clinton Co.: he owns 130 acres of land. Married Catharine Untidt, in 1860; she was born in 1836, in Germany; have six children- John, Peter, Edwin,Justice and Otto; have an adopted daughter- Hulda Lindmeier. He is School Director and Treasurer. Frederick Lindmeier moved to Fulton, IL 3 months before he died. Death certificate shows he was born in Gemow Enfte, Germany
