SHAMBAUGH, Benjamin Franklin, (p. 357) born 29 Jan 1871 in Elvira; son of John and Eva Ann Ressler Shambaugh; md Bertha M. Horack 11 Aug 1897; died 07 Apr 1940. Head of Dept of Political Science at Univ. of IA. Wrote several histories, including some of the Iowa Series.
