1852 Iowa State Census Enumeration Date

Please help me know the Enumeration Date(s)for Boardman Township, Clayton County, 1852 Iowa State Census.

Can you tell me anything about the enumerator's practices for 1852?

Jeremiah Gould appears in that census yet on 14 April 1851, when summoned to testify in the probate case of John Gould, Jeremiah was reported "gone to unknown parts." I am trying to decide how Jeremiah Gould was included. I have information suggesting he probably was gone at least in the spring of 1852 and perhaps earlier than that.
