1855 missing family

1850 Boardman Township, Clayton County

William and Joice Scarf had 400+ acres and four sons. Joice disappears in 1855 and the four boys show up in the 1856 census living with neighbors/family.

Is there a grave at National cemetary or around Monona for "Joice Scarf" in 1855? I cannot find any online records.

The Drips family has 5 graves at National - one of the boys lived with this family after his mother's death.

The online databases have resulted in NO records for Joice Scarf's death or burial in Clayton county.

Any ideas / advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
