Looking for information on the following family:

William W. Bright, born in Elkader on 04 April 1862; married Sophie M. Deacon in 1889; died in Detroit, MI in 1928

William Bright’s father, Peter Bright (sometimes spelled Brieht or Bricht or Brecht, born in Germany in the early 1800’s) worked alternately as a carpenter, mason plasterer and liquor dealer. I cannot locate any information about when he may have died, although the coroner’s report for his wife, filed in Clayton County, Iowa in May 1864, hints that she may have been widowed, so I believe Peter died prior to May 1864.

William Bright’s mother, Katharina Margaretha Feick (sometimes spelled Fike or Fiske, born in Germany in 1829 and died in May 1864 in Clayton County, Iowa)

William’s parents (Peter & Katharina) married in 1852 in Erie County, Ohio and then moved to Elkader County.

William’s brother, Johann Jakob Bright (born 1852 in Erie County, Ohio and died 1916 in Putnam County, Ohio)

William’s brother, George Bright (born in 1854 in Elkader and died in 1863 in Elkader, supposedly after falling into a bog)

William’s sister, Anna Bright (born 1855 in Elkader and died 1905 Putnam County, Ohio)

William’s sister, Magdalena/Linnie Bright (born 08 October 1858 and died 19 January 1935 in Putnam County, Ohio)

Looking forward to exchanging information with others who are researching this same family.
