Debbie, have you found any more information about Carl Madaus or his family?

I am interested because my gggrandmother was Maria Madaus Noelck. Her death certificate states her father's name was Christian. I always assumed he stayed in Germany, but maybe not! (Mother's name unknown)

Maria was b. 11 Dec 1864 in Grabow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin. She died 24 Feb 1944 in Audubon Co., IA.

Please let me know if there might be a tie-in. We have hit a brick wall with Maria.
