Elkader- The body of Pfc. Harley H. Glawe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Glawe of St. Olaf, will arrive in Elkader today at 8:00 a.m. and military interment services will be held on Thursday morning, June 30, at the Witt funeral chapel. The body will lie in state at the funeral home.

The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elkader and St. Olaf will have charge of the services, according to Harold Knoke, American Legion commander, and Ed Leonard, Veterans of Foreign Wars commander of the Elkader posts.

Harley H. Glawe was born in Giard township near Elkader and was 27 years old when he was killed in action on March 27, 1944, at Casino, Italy. He entered the service in May 1942 and received his basic training at Camp Druber, Okla. He was sent overseas in December, 1943. His body has been temporarily interred in a cemetery at Carana, Italy.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Glawe, three brothers, Lloyd, St. Olaf, Burnell and Verdine at home, five sisters, Mrs. William Coobs, St. Olaf, Mrs. LaVerne Palas, Farmersburg, Mrs. Clayton O'Neil, St. Olaf, Mrs. Clifford Leuchtenmacher, Elkader, and Bonnie Lee at home.

Correct name of the soldier is Harvey H. Glawe, not Harley H. Glawe as listed in the newspaper article.
