Headline: Obituary--Mrs. Driscoll.

Ellen Teresa O'Brien was born in County Cork, Ireland, Aug. 4, 1862, the oldest child of John and Catherine O'Brien.

When a young girl she moved with her folks to a farm near Floyd, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.

On Sept. 20th, 1889 [should be September 30, 1890] she was united in marriage to Jeremiah Driscoll and they started their first home on his farm near McGregor, Iowa. Here they lived a number of years and here seven children were born so their union--six sons and one daughter.

In Nov., 1903 the family moved to Oelwein, Iowa, which has continued to be her home.

Mr. Driscoll, preceded his partner in death thirteen years ago and a son, Harry, ten years ago.

Left to mourn her passing are James, and Vincent of Saint Paul, Minn.; John of Los Angeles, Cal.; and Dennis, Robert and Mabel of Oelwein.
She also leaves eighteen grandchildren and three sisters and two brothers, namely: John, Jerry and Anne O'Brien of Floyd, Iowa.; Mrs Ed. Beck of Estherville, Iowa., and Mrs. Willard Moon of Midnspore, Alberta, Canada; besides numerous other relatives.

Born and reared in the Catholic faith she remained true to her teachings and had the last rites of her church.

Her family was in constant attendance and bestowed upon her loving care and medical aid but to no avail and she slept peacefully away Thursday morning, March 2nd.

Funeral services were Held Saturday morning at nine o'clock from Sacred Heart Church, with Father O'Hagen, officiating and burial took place in McGregor, Iowa beside her husband and son.

Among those from out of town present at the funeral of Mrs. Driscoll, were Mr. and Mrs. Beck (sister Katerine and husband) of Esterville, Mr. John O'Brien (brother), Mr. Jerry O'Brien (brother) and Miss Ann O'Brien (sister) of Floyd, Iowa, Mr. LaVerne Casey (deceased sister Mary's family) of Beloit, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Driscoll (son) and Mr. Vincent Driscoll (son)of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
