Guttenberg Press.. Born Dec. 6, 1871 d. Nov. 14, 1949..Dies Enroute to services for a cousin. Garber, Ia. - Strother Edward Hansel 79 died Monday afternoon in the automobile of Francis Moser as Moser was rushing him to a physician when he was stricken enroute to the funeral of his cousin Lyman John Hansel.

Mr. Hansel was pronounced dead on arrival at the office of the physician. The body was taken to the home of his daughter Mrs. Leonard Moser in Garber.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon (Nov. 17, 1949) at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel church in charge of Rev. W. Vonderohe, pastor of St John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Garber. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery in charge of the Tuecke funeral home.

Born December 6, 1871 near Garber, Mr. Hansel was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip S. Hansel. In the year 1898, he married Minnie Barnhart.
Mr. Hansel is survived by ten children, Mrs. Herman Every of Colesburg, Harvey Hansel of Watkins, Cecil Hansel of Colesburg, Mrs. Leonard Moser of Garber, Theo. Hansel of Guttenberg, Dale Hansel of St. Olaf, Clark Hansel of Alabama, Mrs. Henry Friedlein of Colesburg, Mrs. Carl Friedlein of Guttenberg and Miss. Madeline Hansel of the home. He also is survived by 26 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, as well as two brothers, Alan of Edgewood, and Marshall of Greeley, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Kurcua of Zimmerman, Minnesota, and Mrs. Arminta Dubois of Minneapolis, Minn. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
