FAIRVIEW LADY TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. William Flasher Passed Following Several Weeks Illness
Fairview—Funeral services were held last Friday at the home for Mrs. William Flasher, 72, who died Wednesday, November 20, following an illness of several weeks. The services were in charge of Rev. Floyd R. Maynard and burial was in the Linwood cemetery in Dubuque.
Pallbearers were Cleo Lee, Harley White, Ralph Gull, Donald Wessel, Lawrence Brockmeyer and Harry Gull.
As Miss Christiania Rust, she was a daughter of Christian and Dorothy Rust and was born in Guttenberg on September 1, 1868. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 72 years, 2 months and 19 days.
When a young lady she was engaged as a dress maker in Guttenberg and later spent several years in Dubuque as a house keeper.
On October 4, 1898 she was united in marriage to Will Flasher. They spent their entire 42 years of married life on farms near Colesburg and for the past 29 years lived on their farm here in Fairview.
Preceding her in death are two brothers and 3 sisters.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death, a brother Henry Rust of Dubuque, two nephews and one niece, Mrs. Dorothy Wedned of Dubuque.
