Wm. F. Radloff Interred Thursday

Funeral services were conducted from St. John Lutheran church, Luana, Thursday morning, May 18 for William F. Radloff, Luana, who died Monday, May 15, at his home. Mr. Radloff had been hospitalized April 6 in the Postville hospital for observation and dismissed April 11. The Rev. John Mohr officiated.

William F. Radloff, Luana, was born October 28, 1889 in Clayton county, Iowa, the son of Charles Radloff and Minnie Schmidt. He was baptized at Clayton Center Lutheran church by the Rev. Siefert May 23, 1890 and confirmed at St. John Lutheran church, Luana, April 16, 1905.

William Radloff was united in marriage to Mary Martins, March 10, 1915 at St. John Lutheran Church, Luana. To this union two children were born. The couple had observed 57 years of marriage.

Mr. Radloff had spent his entire life in the Luana community and was active in church and community affairs, serving on the church council, the Luana town council, was director of the Luana Co-op, the Luana Creamery, the Lutheran Cemetery Association and was custodian of the church for 16 years.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Elmer of Monona and Melvin on the home farm, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two sisters, Selma, Mrs. John Lenth, Monona; Viola, Mrs. Harvey Hamann of Garnavillo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Henry.

Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery, Luana.
