Funeral services for Lizzie S. Jacobs, lifelong Guttenberg resident, were held last Monday, May 7, at 2 p. m. The Rev. Martin Miller conducted services held at Tuecke Chapel.

Mrs. Jacobs passed away May 5, at 3:30 a. m. after a lingering illness. She was 83, having been born June 20, 1878, in Millville Township.

Daughter of Charles Kickbush and Frederica Kickbush, Mrs. Jacobs was married to George M. Jacobs Feb. 19, 1900, in Dubuque. Mr. Jacobs is deceased.

Pallbearers at the Monday services were L. O. Hall, E. L. Charlesworth, Realto Beehler and Kenneth Saeugling. Burial was in the Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by three sons, Walter and Stanley of Guttenberg, and George, Griswold, Iowa; three daughters, Emma and Helen of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Donald (Irene) McGuffin; six grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Blume and Mrs. Anna Meyer, both of Guttenberg; and two brothers, Charles, Strawberry Point, and John of Springfield, Oregon.
