Lorene Pixler

Funeral services for Lorene Pixler, 86, of Dubuque were held June 2 at Lake-Thornburg Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. She died May 30 at Mercy Health Center, St. Joseph's Unit in Dubuque.

She was born July 7, 1902 to Fred and Louise Baade Gilster of Monona. She and Gerald Pixler were married Nov. 9, 1921 at Monona. He died Feb. 24, 1958.

She was employed by National Decorative Metal Co. in Prairie du Chien. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien.

She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Knutson of St. Paul, MN; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preced in death by her husband and son, Jason, who died in 1984.
