Services for DELillia Mahulda Schlitter were held Friday, April 16, 1982 at 2 p.m. in the Garden City United Methodist "Brick" Church with Rev. Curtis Webster officiating.

Schlitter, the daughter of Charles and Etta Mabel Deal Bollman, was born Aug. 13, 1906 in Post Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. She was baptized at Ion and received most of her education in Allamakee County. During her life she helped as a housekeeper, worked in a restaurant at Prairie du Chien and was a homemaker.

She married Lester Schlitter on Dec. 2, 1930 at the Methodist Church in Monona. They had five children.

She died at her home Tuesday, April 13, 1982 having reached the age of 75.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother Ferris Bollman. Surviving is her husband, Lester; her three sons, Arno of Luana, Leo of Bagley, Wis., James of Postville; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Jones, Harpers Ferry and Violet Bugenhagen, Monona; 11 grandchildren: Larry Jones, Lonnie Schlitter, Dale Bugenhagen, Stan Schlitter, Kenny Jones, Richard Jones, Danny Schlitter, Darryl Schlitter, Steve Schlitter, Rodney Schlitter and Brian Bugenhagen; 5 granddaughters: Cheryl Bugenhagen, Darla and Linda Schlitter, LuAnn Miller, Tori Bissel; two brothers, Lawrence Bollman, Monona, Beecher Bollman, Van Horn, Iowa; and a sister, Violet Meyers, Yuma, Ariz.

Mrs. Lester (DeLillia) Schlitter, 75, of Monona died Tueesday (13 Apr 1982) at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Garden City United Methodist (Brick) Church, with burial in the Monona City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Schultz Funeral Home, Monona, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.

Surviving besides her husband Lester are three sons, Arno of Luana, Leo of Bagley, Wis., and James of Postville; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Jones, Harpers Ferry, and Violet Bugenhagen of Monona; 16 grand­children; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Bollman of Monona and Beecher Bollman of Van Horn, Ia.; and a sister, Violet Meyers of Yuma, Ariz.

Delillia (Bollman) Schlitter, was born August 13, 1906 in Allamakee County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Charles and Etta Mabel (Deal) Bollman.

(Source: Monona City Cemetery records. The date also matches the birth date that I have for her in the Schlitter Family history).
