FORMER RESIDENT OF LUANA PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Louis Oldag, 78, former resident of Luana, passed away Friday, December 19, 1952, at her home in Preston, Minnesota, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at St. John's Lutheran church in Preston.

The former Lavina Koss was born September 17, 1874 near Garnavillo to the late John and Elizabeth Wilcke Koss. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Lutheran Aid society and Daughters of Reformation. She was married March 7, 1899 to Louis Oldag and they farmed near Luana 29 years. Later they spent five years in Oelwein, four years at Goose Lake and moved to Preston 14 years ago.

Surviving are the husband; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Huff, Davenport; one son, Felix of Preston, and two grandsons. Three sisters and one brother preceded her.
