Hugo Henry Vogt

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 8, 1971 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg for Hugo Vogt who died Saturday, December 4 from a heart attack. The Rev. David M. Heck officiated.

Hugo Henry Vogt, son of John and Minna Doerring Vogt, was born September 13, 1893 at Farmersburg. He was baptized October 22, 1893 at Clayton Center by Rev. F. W. Seigert and was confirmed March 24, 1907 by Gerald Weise at Farmersburg. He received his education in the rural Hawkeye school.

He was united in marriage to Esther Moon May 26, 1920. They had one son Harold.

In 1958 Mr. and Mrs. Vogt retired to their present home in Monona.

Mr. Vogt was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Roy, who died at birth and Lester of Elkader.

He is survived by a brother Alvin of Elkader, a sister, Mrs. Harvey (Hattie) Schultz, Postville, a son Harold and three grandsons, Randal, Daniel and David.

Interment was in the Monona City Cemetery.
