Funeral services for Victor L. Benzing, age 75, of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, were held Saturday, January 5, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin with the Rev. Frank Maxwell officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Victor Benzing, son of Gust and Sophia (Kutzbach) Benzing, was born June 30, 1915 in Farmersburg, Iowa. He was a graduate of Farmersburg High School, class of 1933. He was a resident of the Farmersburg area until 1960 when he moved to Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin. He had been engaged in farming and was also employed by Schweiger Industries of Jefferson since 1964, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. On November 3, 1937 he married Orma L. Kuhse of Postville, Iowa and on October 10, 1987 he married Bernice (Kuhse) Amunson of Farmersburg, Iowa.

Victor L. Benzing died Monday evening, December 31, 1990 in the Ft. Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; 3 sons, Oran Benzing of Valier, Montana, Wayne Benzing of Ossian, Iowa, and Arden Benzing of Cambridge, Wisconsin; 3 daughters, Mary (Thomas) Farrell, Ruth (James) Turney, and Jean (Dennis) Stedman, all of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin; 1 step-son, Lloyd Amundson; 4 step-daughters, Marlene Meyer, Linda Buechler, and Rita (Bill) Leliefeld, all of Guttenberg, Iowa, and Rose Mary (L'Dean) Tielbar of Farmersburg, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 22 step-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Howard Benzing of Calmar, Iowa, and a sister, Roma Parker of Bell, Florida.
