Funeral services for Marydel Huinker were held Wednesday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa. Con-Celebrants were Father John Moran and Father Daniel Keppler. Honorary pallbearers were Mr. and Mrs. Don Schofield, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Schweikert, Mr. and Mrs. Malin Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Venter, and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Wold. Pallbearers were Todd Loushine, Jill Loushine, Brian Loushine, Greg Loushine, Nick Huinker, and Sara Huinker. Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Monona, Iowa. Schultz Funeral Home of Monona, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Marydel was the daughter of Frank and Willa (Cherrier) Keating. She was born August 21, 1924 at Woodman, Wisconsin. She attended Stout State College in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Marydel was united in marriage to Adrian Huinker on October 9, 1948 at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was a teacher in the MFL School District for 30 years. She enjoyed playing Bridge.

Marydel died Sunday, August 21, 1999 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathleen.

Survivors include her husband, Adrian; 1 daughter, Patti (Bill) Loushine of Forest Lake, Illinois; 2 sons, Ron (Linda) Huinker of Piney Flats, Tennessee, and Randy (Lynette) Huinker of Darnstown, Maryland; 8 grandchildren, Todd, Jill, Brian, and Greg Loushine, Nick, Sara, Lauren, and Leslie Huinker; 1 brother, Dr. Jack Keating of Janesville, Wisconsin; 3 sisters, Sr. Helen Keating and Sr. Pat Keating, both of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and Sr. Jeanne Keating of Spokane, Washington; and many other relatives and friends.
