Relatives here received word Saturday that Dr. Charles Dorman had passed away Friday night about midnight following a lingering illness.

Charles W. Dorman, son of Dr. Charles Ward and Frances Helen Manchester Dorman, born at Sierraville, California, May 15, 1865. When two years of age he and his parents came in a covered wagon to Strawberry Point where they resided for a short time. From a small boy he worked with his father in the dental office and after graduating from the school of dentistry at the University of Iowa in 1890 he worked with his uncle, Dr. J.M. Dorman in Fayette. Then he went to Dell Rapids, South Dakota, where he practiced for about six years. In 1900 he went to Manchester and was associated with his father in the office. In 1901 he located in Strawberry Point where he worked at his practice until a year ago when he was forced to quit, due to ill health.

On July 2, 1902, he was married to Miss Anna Fowells of Fayette. Surviving are his wife of this place, one daughter, Doris, Mrs. Martin Hansen of Hudson, and one brother, Dr. C.L. Dorman of Clarksville. Four brothers and two sisters besides his parents preceded him in death.

The funeral services for Dr. Dorman were held in the Congregational church Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. J.E. McLain. Music was furnished by Mrs. Carrie Slagle and Mrs. Jennie Howard with Miss Helen Buckley at the organ. Interment was in the Strawberry Point cememtery with the Masonic service. Pall bearers were C.B. Moser, Alex Schmidt, J.H. Klingbeil, George Scofield, Don Tinker, and C.C. Huntley.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Dr. and Mrs. John E. Dorman, Mrs. Mary Kelly, Mrs. R. Hunt, and Miss Jean Hunt of Fayette; Noel and Bud Manchester of Oelwein; Mr. and Mrs. E. Henderson of Coggon; Mr. Fred Talcott of Lamont; Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Dorman of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Hansen of Hudson; and Dr. and Mrs. C.L. Dorman of Clarksville.
