Floy Weihs, 84, of Waukon, Iowa died Saturday, June 17, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday June 20, 1989 at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon. Burial was in the Strawberry Point, Iowa Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home of Waukon in charge of arrangements.
Floy was born August 21, 1904 in Strawberry Point to James and Myra (Wandell) Sauerbry. She graduated from high school in Strawberry Point, attended Coe College, Cedar Rapids,Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa as a teacher. On June 30, 1927 she married Al Weihs in Strawberry Point. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, a son, Gordon of Omaha, Nebraska, and two grandchildren. Casket bearers were John Shafer, Francis Hammel, Walter Hagen, Jack Wadsworth, Len Stock, and Karl Mosier.
