STRAWBERRY POINT, Ia. –
Elwin Forey Sargent, 73, died at the Manchester, Iowa hospital at 2:15 p.m. Thursday. He was a retired carpenter. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gill Funeral Home, Strawberry Point. Burial will be in the city cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Survivors are his wife, Marguerite; one son, LaVern, Strawberry Point; four brothers, Ralph; Paul, and Harford of Strawberry Point; and Emery, Lamont, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Kimpston, and Mrs. Lavera Fink, both of Strawberry Point.

~The Memorial Obituary for Elwin Sargent was published in the pages of The Telegraph- Herald Dubuque, Iowa on December 29, 1961
